Revenge: A Love Story is a 2017 action thriller film directed by Johnny Martin and written by John Mankiewicz. The film is an adaptation from author Joyce Carol Oates' 2003 unique Rape: A Love Story. It stars Nicolas Cage, Don Johnson, Deborah Kara Unger, and Anna Hutchison in essential roles. The plot center's around the plight of a single mom, brutally attacked by a group of men and the subsequent quest of the mom and a local law enforcement officer to guarantee justice is served.

Plot Overview
The film starts with Teena Maguire (Anna Hutchison), a single mother, celebrating July 4th in Niagra Falls with her 12-year-old daughter, Bethie (Talitha Bateman). After the celebrations, they take a hazardous shortcut through a deserted park. Here, they encounter a gang of males, led by petty criminal Marvin (Joshua Mikel), who seriously attack, gang rape and leave Teena for dead, while her child sees paralyzed in fear.

Bethie is necessary in pointing the cops towards the culprits who live in a nearby worn out home. Teena unbelievely recovers however suffers severe memory loss, which makes it impossible for her to remember her brutal attackers.

High-profile defense lawyer Jay Kirkpatrick (Don Johnson) handles the assaulters' case, challenging Teena's character and her capabilities as a mother in court. The poignancy of the circumstance he has emerged from his loyalty to his task makes him relentless in his objective that the criminals deal with punishment for their heinous actions.

Nevertheless, Kirkpatrick, all through, attempts to flex the justice system in favor of the wrongdoers, in spite of knowing their regret. The movie reaches a climax when an end of the world in between right and incorrect, led by Dromoor against Kirkpatrick and the opponents. Eventually, vengeance dominates, and justice is served to those guilty, offering Teena and her daughter some solace.

Conclusion
Revenge: A Love Story dives deep into the worlds of a ruthless criminal activity, the fight for justice, and the resist a manipulative defense lawyer.
