The sailor of legend is framed by the goddess Eris for the theft of the Book of Peace, and must travel to her realm at the end of the world to retrieve it and save the life of his childhood friend Prince Proteus.

Introduction
"Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas" is an animated adventure film released in 2003. The movie is influenced by the legendary Arabic sailor Sinbad from the Middle East folk tales of One Thousand and One Nights (or Arabian nights). The film is directed by Patrick Gilmore and Tim Johnson, with the movie script written by John Logan. It features the voices of Brad Pitt, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Michelle Pfeiffer.

Plot
The plot of the film focuses on Sinbad, voiced by Brad Pitt, an infamous sea rogue who is bestowed with a mission to retrieve the "Book of Peace" and restore harmony in Syracuse. The book is stolen by the wicked goddess of discord, Eris, voiced by Michelle Pfeiffer. Through her trickery, Sinbad is framed for the theft. Sinbad must pick between his desire for wealth and his concealed virtue, deciding between stealing the book for himself or returning it to its rightful place.

Characters and Their Journey
Sinbad unwillingly embarks on a journey accompanied by an assortment of colourful characters including his faithful crew, his youth friend-now-rival Proteus voiced by Joseph Fiennes, and Proteus's betrothed, Lady Marina voiced by Catherine Zeta-Jones. Proteus provides himself in place of Sinbad to deal with execution if Sinbad does not return with the book in time, hence adding a time bind to their adventure.

On their trip to the world of mayhem that Eris dwells, Lady Marina stows away on Sinbad's ship, adding a romantic tension to the story. The characters have a pull of war with their loyalty, friendship, love, and greed as they deal with mythical beasts and deal with Eris's manipulation.

Conclusion
In the end, using his wit, Sinbad recovers the Book of Peace from Eris by cleverly using her own rules against her. Marina selects to absolve her engagement to Proteus and joins Sinbad on more experiences, acknowledging their love for each other. The two of them sail away into the horizon after returning the Book of Peace to Syracuse and saving Proteus's life, leaving an open-ended experience note, assuring more seafaring tales.

Overall Critique
"Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas" blends Arabic legend with Greek mythology, providing a heavily elegant animation. Although the film incorporates awesome chases and interesting combat, it got combined reviews for its plot due to its variance from the source product. Yet, its sensational visuals and vibrant character relationships offer amusing viewing. The film is a suggestion of the ethical that is at the heart of many such adventures, that real wealth lives not in product possessions, however in commitment, friendship, and love, which are the things that ultimately guide Sinbad in his journey.
